Hi all...

I noticed that the 1st shot of the nearly fully assembled A380 is no longer available on the site. I was mainly interested in the sport of tracking the enormous number of hits it was sure to receive...

Anyone know where it went?

Andrew

AIRLINERS.NET CREW
PHOTO SCREENER

Probably another stolen Airbus photo. Pretty sad if you ask me

It was a stolen photo... Its gone... and the "photographer" (uploader) probably won't have much success here in the future, even if its his own photos next time!

Stolen photo? Sounds very rare...because is shown in A.net later on.
Or was illegally taken?

If it wasn't stolen, I'm almost sure it was not allowed to be taken, and it wouldn't surprise me if Airbus Industrie (EADS) contacted Johan to remove it ASAP...

Wow! I guess I am a naive one, aren't I.

I wondered how (and why) Airbus would have allowed it to be published. Easy, I guess - they didn't.

Thanks for your answers.

Andrew

Well, if you wanna know more see my reply #45 in the "A380: It's Almost Dones" thread to which Jaspike reacted I guess.
I was a little confused when I saw that exact pic uploaded to this site since it has been linked so many times before from somewhere else.
I also think it's kind of unfair and sad to get over 40000 hits on a picture that isn't even yours! Plus that guy basically stole the copyright if the original image was copyright protected.
