Hello:
I am considering a trip to Australia this fall to chase trains, but would also like to photograph airliners as well. I was wondering if anyone familiar with the situation down there could brief me on the situation at Sydney and Melbourne. Is the deck at Melbourne still open? Any information would be welcome, I have not been there since 1998 so I'm sure my information is stale.

The deck at MEL is still closed. It doesnt look as though it will be opened again in the near future. For some up to date spotting info on both SYD and MEL, check out the links below.
