Even though that are probably thousands of web sites like this one, I thought I'd point this one out since it has an a.net pic on it that is fairly new...

http://www.elchineroconcepts.com/FOD.htm

That first shot is fairly new to a.net and he's already put it on his page. You can clearly see the airliners.net black bar on the bottom - but you cannot read it.

Also:

This one won't link properly in the forum for some reason (seems to not like the '-' in "C-5B" in the URL):

If you scroll to the bottom of any of his pages he has links (most of which have no picture associated with them) to other pages that are full of pics... Some are from a.net and some are not. Those that are from a.net usually have someone thanked other than the person that took the photo.

He is also using quite a few shots from the US Air Force and US Navy web sites.

Anyone know anything about this guy or if he has permission to use this photos?

Matt

I don't know, but maybe you should have contacted the photographer before you publicly accused these people of steeling images...not to mention putting the a.net community on high alert.

I asked if anyone knew if he has permission - I did not outright publicly accuse him/them of stealing. Where did you see that word in there?

The comment about "putting the a.net community on high alert" is a little bit over-stated... Give me a break. High alert?!? You say that as if everyone read my post and said to themselves "Oh no! I'd better take all of my photos off of the web!" - I think not.

You and I have both been around here long enough to know that people post their findings like this all of the time.

If his site was full of your photos and you didn't know it, wouldn't you have liked to at least known about it?

Seems to me like I was more giving notice than calling the police.

I'm sorry for sounding harsh in my previous post. I still believe you should contact the photographer privately instead of bringing it up for all of us to read. Most likely none of us here would know if that photographer gave permission to another site to use his/her photo. I have given a couple sites permission to use my photos and haven't said anything to anybody about it because it's not that big of deal. However, if someone thought that my photos were being use inappropriately by someone else, I would appreciate it if an email was sent to just me. If I didn't give permission, then we could start up a thread about stolen photos to give everybody a heads up.
