Hello,

Today, I got this one rejected for badsoft... It looks rather sharp to me, look at the titles, reg, etc...

Should I sharpen more ( -> a bit more jaggies ) or appeal? You think this is too soft?

thanks,
Florian

I don't think it's soft, but I think it's overexposed, which gives it a soft-ish look.

I'd play with the levels a bit.

Florian-

I feel your pain. I had two identical shots, taken a minute from each other, and put through the same post processing. One was accepted (days ahead of my other shots in the queue... go figure), and the other was rejected (badsoft). I think they were screened by different screeners, one was in training. I will likely make one more pass of USM and re-upload. I am a bit miffed that I got my 3rd rejection this year though.  Insane

Your shot is beautiful, but if you look at the tail, it does appear to be soft. I'd try to use a sharpen tool, cranked way down (maybe 10% at the most), and make a few passes over the rear section of the aircraft. Once you do that, you've got a sure shot at getting it into the database - and me having yet another Florian Trojer Windows wallpaper!  Big thumbs up Great shot Florian!

Andrew:

Thank you for the compliments, I'm glad you like it. I will apply some USM, too!

I don't think it's soft, but I think it's overexposed, which gives it a soft-ish look.

Hmmm, that's what I call overexposed  Big thumbs up

Hi Flo,

it does not look overexposed to mee. and in my eyes, it's not bad soft. but the backround seems so have motion blurr - which is logical to me at an approach speed of 150 kts.

I like this shot ...

Bernd
