Yes I know that old chestnut again, let the firing squad begin.
I know that this subject has been talked about many times in the past and I have looked but not found the answers to my questions, so please forgive me for asking, I just want to make the short time I will have available at LAX to be as stress free as possible.
It has been 3 years or so since my last visit to LAX, and I will get a chance for a day trip to LAX whilst visiting my sister on a family holiday in Arizona at the end of this month.
I am familiar with most of the spotting areas around the airport, and have looked in the search facility but to no avail on the info that I require.
1, A multi storey parking garage was being built be side the In & Out Burger at Sepulveda Blvd the last time I was here, I have noticed a few photo's have been taken from here. What sort of car park is it (Long stay, employees ??) and are you able to stay and take photographs and spot.
Do you even need a car to use the car park.
Is this any better for overlooking the airport at night time than Imperial hill?
2, I have the opportunity to stay at the Westin LAX for free through work, does anybody know what room numbers / floors are best to see aircraft on approach.
I know other hotels offer better views but when it is free who's complaining.
3, I have heard recently that people are getting moved on from the long term parking lots, was this a one off or a new policy at LAX.
My intention is to do most of my spotting and photography from the hill at Imperial and the Inn & Out and do not intend visiting the central terminal area except for a quick dash to the Bradley car park for 10 minutes or so (except when the EL AL is in) whilst switching from the two locations mentioned above.
Again many apologies for going over old ground with my requests.
Regards,

Having just returned from the In and Out Burger for the first time (hopefully not the last), I've got to say this is one of the best places Ive ever been to...I strongly recommend it...I stayed on the ground and was able to get a few decent shots (SQ A345 9V-SGC being the definite highlight), although the garage might've helped a bit...

If you're taking photos, In 'n' Out Burger is only good in Late June, when the late afternoon sun swings slightly north. This time of year, the sun is to the south so the sun is in your face at In 'n' Out Burger. It is a good place to spot, however.
