If its for real it would not be the first time that a 777 engine got hot....

ringwaymanc,

an engine should not turn that hot during takeoff...

but by now it is already proven to be a fake, so...

Wow....that's a bad edit. lol. The flames in the engine don't look half bad...but good lord....look at the white stuff behind them! That's horrible. That makes this edit the worst. Ouch.

AA has nice shiny fuselages that would reflect an engine fire like this. No reflection of the fire.

Actually this photo p*sses me off. There are too many accidents and incidents in the aviation world that result in injuries and even death for someone to actually take the time to doctor a perfectly normal photograph.

For the person that doctored this photo-Find a more appropriate use for your extra time. This doctored photograph by you is most insulting both to American Airlines and those who have lost family members in an aviation accident.

Oh how I miss Midway Airlines. A class act right to then end.

The world is full of bozos with too much time on their hands. Feel free to use your energy on irritation, but be aware it won't help.

As for insulting AA and those who have lost family members, I'm pretty sure they can take it. They can't stop and complain every time someone makes a joke or doctors a picture.

Starlionblue...

I couldn't have put it better myself!

All I wanna know is....WHY?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All that it proves is that the pathetic d**khead that did this needs to get a life..and fast.

This is almost as bad as the hoax picture of the AA 757 supposedly taken by someone standing on top of the WTC just before impact - The stupid prats couldn't even get that right as it was Boeing 767-200's that hit the WTC.

GROW UP!

Hmmm.... flames penetrating the N1 fan and the bypass duct.......

Whoever is responsible for that alteration has obviously never seen a real engine fire, and probably hasn't a clue how a high bypass engine works.

The sad thing is that in all likelyhood, the person who took the time to create this illustration probably did so at work on some company's dime, or worse yet, at a government job, paid for by the tax payers!
Ahhh well.

If you're gonna make a fake picture of an engine fire, first learn about them. Second, there is no reflection of the fire on the fuselage- funny about that. Although most media people would probably believe this, don't insult us - you look like an idiot.

As for my comments above, I do realize the artist was not the one who posted the picture. Didn't want to get into any trouble here.
