I live in the Washington,DC area and have been using Ritz Camera to process my Fuji Reala film. I've been noticing a lot of horizontal scratches on my negatives which look like they might be caused by the film processing equipment. These obviously cause problems when the negative is scanned. Can anyone recommend a "professional" photo lab that I might try. Also, what about the film processing mailers that can be bought from the NYC photo stores? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ralph
Seems no-one has replied to your post
If I was you, go back to the lab who scratched your negatives and ask them about it and what they are going to do.
This happened to me with Kodak and it was found out that the machine had a fault. Nothing could be done as the negs had already been scanned, but I did get compensation.
After this, they now know who I am and I have had no similar problems.

Hello Gary,
Thanks for the response. The problem with Ritz is that they have a different person "driving" the processing machine every time I'm in the store. I'll tell them about the problem next time I'm there but I think a professional lab is the answer for me.
Regards,
Ralph
