Just come across a very interesting document at

http://photoworkshop.com/canon/EOS_Digital.pdf

Essentially this is a guide written by Canon to help pro's get the best out of 1 series cameras, but much of the advice would be generic to other Canon DSLRs. Lots of stuff showing how to, for example, improve AF accuracy, and something I've never seen before, a sharpening recommendation - I quote:

" ... we recommend applying an unsharp mask to the image in Adobe Photoshop. Although there is no such thing as a "best" setting for all applications, we suggest the following as a starting point:

Amount: 300%
Radius: 0.3 pixels
Threshold 0 pixels
"

Now this is just an extract from a 35 page PDF, so I would encourage Canon owners to read it through - while some specifics will not apply to your model, I think you will still find it an enlightening document.

Cheers,

Colin

My thanks too Colin, makes very interesting reading for those technically interested.

Incidentally, 7dayshop.com now have the 10D body at £749, 300D body at £559, and the grip at £99.
Seem like bargains to me!

Malcolm.

My interest lies in the future as I am going to spend the rest of my life there!

"I think that i will able to buy a bargin 300D or 10D when the 20D arrives"

Seems i was right after all...... Trouble is i only want the 20D now !!!!
