Man, who did you piss off?? Those are great shots, and that A340 looks like a Heathrow shot. Guess that's what the "lhr" part of the file name is...duh. Wish I could've been there for that one. Maybe the screeners are just messing with you...maybe they're not perfect and missed you. LOL

I see that one of the external Screening Policeman has come out again, effectively implying something untowards without understanding why the situation is really as it is! I suggest that rather than implicitly "having a go" at the crew, if any photographer finds themselves in this situation is genuinely concerned then the photographer themselves should contact the crew by e-mail rather than making a fuss about it here.
Non the less, on this occasion seeing as the photographer concerned is engaged in this debate... Some internal screening process issues need sorting, and unfortunately those two pictures demonstrate the problem to those who need to sort things out. Hang in there - they'll move forward as soon as possible.

Maybe you shouldn't take this too seriously. I find the thread quite funny.

Maybe if contributors took this forum MORE seriously, more screeners would contribute here on a regular basis."
It's the other way around Andy. If I post something which is meant to be funny and nothing else, I don't need a rude answer by a site employee.
I sometimes wonder if some of the crew are in need of a customer relations refresher course. Why would anyone want to pay to hear/read abuse?
Why don't you guys lighten up and start acting helpful and supportive? Not most of the time but all the time. I pay so I can moan. You should be placating me instead of adding fuel to the fire.
Your photography skills are excellent. We (the crew) would love you to share some of your photography insight and knowledge here. Threads like this do little to inform or entertain anybody. They are merely an attempt to embarass the volunteers who dedicate their time to this wonderful website.

Thanks for your kind words Tamsin. Compared to other photographer's on this site, I think of myself as average+. Al I can give advice on are the cockpit shots. I've received a lot of emails and answered each one the best I could.

I honestly did not try to embarrass the screeners by starting this thread. The screeners give up a lot of spare time to keep this site going, and I respect each and every one of you for it.
But there have been recurring issues;
1. Arrogant answers in most of the forums by the crewmembers. Surely this can't be a good thing in the long run. If each inpolite and rude thread was answered in a polite and professional manner, the readers would always side with the screeners and the whining would eventually stop. Noone would like to make an ass of themselves over and over.
2. Johan has too many tasks, relieve him of one, mainly the management of the appeal queue. Photos have been in the queue long enough to warrant a call to the Guinness Book of World Records.
A panel consisting of 5 respected photographers from this site (not me), each with one vote, should do nicely. 3 votes and the photo is in.
3. I don't want to believe anyones criticism in the forums affects their photo acceptance ratio. For the record, I don't think it does. But it took me a while to start to believe it
I'm not trying to make the screeners life harder, I'm trying to make the users life easier. Sometimes one is impossible witout the other.
