A little off topic, I'm afraid, for which I apologise, however I don't know anywhere else I can find a bunch of Digital Rebel owners to answer mu question:

Is the battery charger that comes with the Digital Rebel universal or 110volt? In other words, will I be able to use it to charge the battery on my trips to Europe and other places with 220/240v AC supplies?

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it doesn't tell you on the certification sticker on the charger itself?

My European one carries just such a sticker which indicates that it will work in both 220/240 and 100v supplies. I can confirm it has always worked throughout Europe and USA.

I don't have a Digital Rebel to check the sticker - that's the reason I am asking.

My sister is thinking of taking advantage of lower US prices and strong pound/dollar exchange rate to buy one to take home to England when she visits later this month...

We know all about the inherent possible problems with warranty and such like, but want to make sure we take all factors in to consideration: if she has to spend another GBP50 or more on a battery charger then it probably isn't worth it.

I used my US-purchased Rebel charger in London without incident, using only a wall socket adapter.

As it says on the charger itself:

Input: 100-240 V AC50/60Hz, 22 VA(100V)-30VA(240V)

You should be fine  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Destruction leads to a very rough road but it also breeds creation
