Aircraft is better lit, although I prefer the background in the other example.

Aircraft is partially backlit...but I prefer this one in a way.

I would say No 1. But i can see why your finding it difficult. In No 1 the plane is lit up well but the rest of the photo is dull. Yet in No 2 the plane dull and the rest is well lit !!! But im sorry to say that imho you could get Bad distance on these. Theres an awfull lot of grass and not alot of aircraft. I can see your trying to get in the whole wingspan in but maybe a closer crop would kill alot of the dead space ???

I would also recommend cropping in tighter. Just chop off half of each wing and it should look much better. Just my $0.02
