Hi all,

This is my first such post for rejection eventhough hundreds of my photos were rejected by A.net before.
I wouldn't claim that these pictures are of A.net standards, but still I would like to know if I can do anything to improve it and my skills.
Also the three pictures below did pass the first screening.

All of them were rejected for Bad Quality and the Air Jamica had an additional Bad Colour.

Thanks for all your opinions and advice.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

Santhosh - are you using anything to sharpen your images after you have taken them? The first thing that struck me viewing the photos is that they all look like they would benefit from a bit of sharpening to my eye.

Yes, I use Photoshop CS. Not an expert with it, I follow the trial and error method. Any tips?

For the Air Jamaica: Try CTRL+B (Color Balance), parameters -5,-10,+10, see if you like it better.

For sharpening (I agree, they look a tad blurry, but I am not sure if it is a sharpening problem) there are as many techniques as photographers. What works best for me is applying USM in one little step (50%, 0,3 px, 1 level) as many times as required.

hey,

very nice pics but im affraid they all look a bit soft and by sharpening these pics it will get worse probably. Maybe its because the picture it self is not sharp? hope you have better luck next time or with the editing!

cheers

Nick

PHOTO SCREENER

it looks like the photos have been oversharpened, perhaps as a result of motion blur caused by low light and not panning. IMO they are no saveable.

#1 - wierd fringing especially noticable around the top of the tail
#2 - as per Click above, looks somewhat oversharpened
#3 - the color thing is always difficult, but oversharpened a little too

All fairly common subjects, so again its likely we'll be more picky than we would be with rarer subjects
