Hi Dan,

Out of interest your profile says you are a student but how on earth can you afford to be away for over a month?!

Cheers

Greaser - I was rather thinking doing any photography in SIN a long shot on that kind of time scale to be honest.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Ben - I'm off to Australia/Asia on friday, and am travelling over christmas, and the new year. Get back a day before i start back at Uni. (Overal only miss 5 days of uni) To be honest this holiday has been planned for 7 months. I've been paying off my credit card bill ever since. (why is Australia so expensive to fly to over Christmas from the UK?!) The JFK/LAX trip, on the other hand was planned and booked yesterday. (As most of my trips are!) Using a combination of Virgin travel benifits (kudos to Kev), and muchos frequent flyer miles to make this trip possible. To tell you the truth I spend as much time as i can away from the UK, can't say i really like it here that much so traveling to other places is my way of dealing with living here for now  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
The paycheck i get from renting out my apartment in London (while im at uni in Leeds) basicaly pays for my living, rent, fees, and traveling. (Yes London's propertie prices really are that expsensive!). Hope that answers your question mate........on a side note i swear we've met a couple of years ago at LGW with my pal Shaun Grist?

Phill, i'll contact you shortly. Would be nice to meet you pal  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Oh i meant to ask as well. What’s the deal with photography on-board American? I've had sporadic requests not to shoot photos onboard from the crew the last few times ive flown them, anyone got the lowdown on this?

Thanks  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Dan,

I have a friend who is an AA pilot. His suggestion is to ask the F/A beforehand if you can shoot on board. That way there won't be questions in flight.

When I fly I use a small compact digital and keep the SLR in the bag.

I'll be in the LHR area on the 23rd, but I think that will be the day I leave for AMS from LTN. Still have not decided yet though. I do want to hit LHR for a day or two while I am there (Jan 20 - Feb 2).

I agree, it's A.) easier to get out in-flight, B.) a little less noticeable, C.) just something about using a Point-and-Shoot in flight over a SLR that doesn't seem as big of a deal, not really sure how to explain it.

I don't live near any of those airport, so have fun!  Big thumbs up

Just make sure you dont get us arrested... I dont fancy ending up in a jail in MIA... Its full of Cuban immigrants... I think i'll keep my camera safely stowed for the flight... haha

There better be some fitties on AA... Im used to VS totty, I wont be standing for the usual AA 60 year old fag hags... LoL

Ok AA doesn't emply F/A's under the age of 50, for some reason they think the being an F/A is something you need at least 20 years of experiance to do  Wink/being sarcastic It really wouldn't hurt them to get some "young blood" on board.
To be honest Kevin i dont think there will be a problem with taking photos where we are sitting. The last AA internal flight i did was to SXM and i was snapping away all flight. Should be fine, but yes if they ask me to i will put away the camera.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
