Nikon makes great cameras and lenses. I have an F80 myself (the big brother of the F70). 120 may be a bit short for aircraft shooting, depending on your field.
Try to get 28-80 and 75-300 (or 100-400).

The F70 is a nice and relatively light body with quite a lot of features packed in it, like the ability to drive the Nikkor AF-S Silent Wave Motor lenses, and a maximum film advance speed of 3.7 frames per second (beating the 2.5 fps of the new F80).
It only takes lithium batteries, which may not be as widely available as AA's. Also, the controls are a bit quirky and takes a bit of getting use to, but once you're familiar with it, it should be a breeze.
