My apologies to any readers who are clear in their own minds about this topic and are fed up reading more questions about it. But this issue of bad doubles continues to trouble me, and in the spirit of open communication I would like to raise this question again. I realise I may appear overly worried about this issue, but I think it is because in my early days of uploading I had a photo that I really liked rejected for bad double and was told (in a friendly way) that I was nearly banned. Ever since I have been a bit 'nervy' about this.
I have decided to upload the following after seeing a few examples in recent Manchester uploads of the same photographer uploading 2 photos of the same aircraft on the same day (with somewhat different angles):
Your views please on whether this is an acceptable upload or one that may cause me difficulties with this double rule. Basically my question is whether or not you agree with me that this is a significantly different view.

Same Airline , Same Reg and Similar Angle. Even though its a different angle , the fact that its a similar angle , and same reg , airline and even light can make this one a baddouble. If you had , lets say , taken a similar pic of a VS , BA , SA etc etc 747 it would have a better chance.

Well considering there are 9 photo's including yours in the data base from that day, I would have to say badcommon, both photo's are very good and not lacking any quality. With 95 photo's already in the databaseof that aircraft, I am pretty sure you will have to avoid a similar photo than one that you already have in the data base. I would suggest picking your favorite photo and uploading that one? If you had the aircraft landing, and then departing... you might be able to get two from the same day....

Thanks so far everyone - these comments are helpful.
I shall leave the photo where it is for further comments before, if necessary, getting rid of it from the queue. But I'm still very keen to hear the views of others. I think you have a very valid point though, Grant.
Jan - this spot is not far from the footpaths around Styal Country Park. I would imagine that it is difficult to get to without a car, although there is a hotel near this viewpoint, which may be accessible via other means. The hotel is The Manchester Airport Moat House (I think it's called) on the main road that runs from Junction 6 of the M56 motorway towards Wilmslow (Altrincham Road). Hope this helps.

Sorry Jan - the light where? If you mean near that hotel then that is a perfect time (though that runway closes from 12 'till 3pm). The sun - if it is out - will be right behind you at that time. Problem with the Viewing Park is that it will be facing you and shots can end up rather backlit.
