I was just out at LHR today (and yesterday as well).
Yesterday's weather was the most beautiful, and sunniest, for spotting. I shot most of my photos from 12-3pm at 27R (landings) and from 3pm-4:30pm at 27L (Myrtle Avenue landings). I just got the pictures back today. One oddity was an EgyptAir A320 (quite a change from the usual 772s); another was a PIA 742 along with the usual 743s. Also an El Al 772. But yesterday was mostly BAs and Airbus narrowbodies (not worth my film, which I like to use for more interesting widebodies, like 747s, 747SPs, etc. and more interesting airline liveries).
Today, the sky was patchy--mostly cloudy with some sun. I stayed at Myrtle Avenue for landings from 12-3pm and got a few shots in. But I caught one rarity--Air Canada's new blue livery on an A343. Has anyone else seen AC's new livery at LHR yet? This was my first ever sighting. Today I just missed getting a photo of Iran Air's 742 and a VS 744 (Ruby Tuesday). But I got some other beauties--El Al 744. But mostly BA aircraft and Airbus narrowbodies (neither worth wasting film on!).
