Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting a backup body that can use D60 accessories. A while back I thought that the 300D/Digi Rebel was compatible with the BG-ED3 grip, but now I'm reading that its only compatible with the dedicated BG-ED1.

If I got it right, I remember that the BG-ED1 was not released together with the 300D - only later - so people were using the "Big Ed" BG-ED3 at first.

Is this the case? I'd love to hear from the 300D brotherhood out there.

An extra question: Any one have experience with the Hitachi 4GB Microdrive? Can anyone recommend it?

Many thanks

Sorry mate... as far as I'm aware the EOS 300D / DRebel / D Kiss only works with it's own dedicated grip.

The BG-ED3 line of compatibility now appears to be closed with the advent of the smaller bodied 20D, which means the Big Ed only fits the D30, D60 and 10D.

Cheers!

Unfortunatly the only grip that work's with the Canon 300D/ Digital Rebel ect is the BG-E1, this takes 2 BP-511 batteries.

Hope this helps,

Thanks people, I'll just have to get the appropriate grip then.

Seems that Canon is doing more camera-specific accessories nowadays.

Thanks to all,

Carlos
