The update works fine, updated from 1.0.3 yesterday and then went shooting. Didn't notice any difference good or bad.

Ian.

Sorry about this guys,

I read on DPReview that there is a firmware update out for my cam (D70). I just wondered how I go about getting this...what they're about etc.

Cheers
Mike

Canon camera updates are available from the Canon site, Nikon update is available here. Canon users are required to enter the camera body number for access.

They update the firmware, camera operating system, with either new features or updated features. The one above updates the startup time from 0.5sec to 0.3sec and improves low light AF tracking - something that many canon users have complained about.

Ian.
