I have got my first photo accepted since January 2001. I know the quality of my images is no where near as good as most photographers here but I got 140+ pics accepted then in January I couldnt get one accepted! Finally nearly half a year later I get 1 accepted

I know the feeling I tried for months to get photos accepted and managed 4 with warnings so I E-Mailed some of the best photographers for advice .
After taking their advice on scanning technics and using J.PEG wizard also changing to 100ASA Kodak Royal film I got 4 photos accepted without warnings so I tried again and got 4 more accepted without warnings.
That was in April since then using the exact same settings I have had every one rejected.
I give up!

You make a really nice picture, Congratulations!
I don't know how you scan your pictures but before to do anything clean them and the glass of your scanner too.
You will improve your pictures.
If you want to get very sharp pictures very easily, get a digital camera. You get very nice pictures nearly without noise or problems like that. Furthermore you needn't to scan.

Don't feel bad Sonic. Probably 99% of new people who upload photos are rejected hands down. Unless you are on the VIP list (which of course everyone denies exists) or you just get very good or unusual shots you're screwed. I gave up after 150+ were all rejected even though some were of better quality than ones shot by the most prolific photographer on Airliners.net.

Thanks for the pat on the back 757...
Here's the kind of stuff I'm upping to A.net but getting no response at all. No acknowledgement of receipt. Anycase, here's a link to one of my pics - thumbnail view.
