While they look fairly good i don't think they will get past anets current screening! In the last few months the quality demanded has really stepped up.

Nice pictures tho, good for the personnal collection.

Chris

P.S The links should work now!

Hi, the first thing is that they are both not level with the horizon. Also, the tails seem to be blurry/out of focus. You also need to add some unsharp mask to these. If you make these adjustments they might have a chance, but in answer to your question as they are right now they would be rejected. Hope this helps!!

Sadly, I don't think they'll make it onto a.net.

Btw, assuming you took that photo from the Airport pub, how did you avoid getting the fence and hedge in the pic?  Smile

OK thank-you for your help! I know what you mean about the horizon, I had to get my arms through a security fence and aim the camera so the second fence didnt get caught within the shot.

They were my first proper airliner photos and so I still have a lot of things to get used to yet and I have a lot of improving to do.

Anyway thanks for your opinions (greatly appreciated!)

p.s Am I able to access the General Discussion Forum? (I have registerd)

Whats the forum for then, rejections only!!

I personally don't have a problem with this. We're all here to help and encourage. Yes I do believe that people should search more as things have been discussed before and can save the forums from being clogged up etc.
I don't blame anyone from trying to see if it will get through. People have been banned from uploading and reloading as well.

I'm not getting at you Tony but what is the forum for then????

Tony,

I understand the sentiment as the queue is so fast now, but I know a couple of us are still mindful of the days before the new crewmembers arrived and the queue was 14K+. The screeners, already overloaded, were getting rather agitated with the lack of discipline behind some of the uploads.

So, I don't think people asking here is particularly negative.

Cheers

James

So I can go on the Aviation Discussion forum now?

Sorry I keep asking.

Saxon,

I think you've found a good spot there to get some interesting angles. Keep giving it a try and asking for tips.

All the best.

Paul

Thanx Psych, I have been going watching planes there since I was born. Its brilliant when you get some heavies going from there as they get proper close! Its a shame that 24L sees most of the 'Heavies' depart though as the pub was brilliant for them!

My photos came out a bit rubbish because:

It was really cold and my hands were numb
I sorta had to make sure I got the photo without the fences
It was my first time doing it and I'm still a bit rubbish.

Lee,

First time I went there was about 30 years ago! I remember going there something like 10 years ago - between the fence for the pub and another fence, dodging some branches. I had assumed there would be no photo opportunities any more due security fences.

May have to give it a look one day.

Don't give yourself a hard time - those photos are not that bad at all. Maybe you need to check out processing the images once they're out of the camera. Feel free to drop me an email if you want any pointers (and you think I may be able to help).

Take care.

Paul
