I was at LHR yesterday with Simon Nicholls and David Potter. Simon was scoffing and he missed it but, N777UA came in instead of N775UA and it was new colours. I just hope one of these gets on:

Oh great they got rejected I knew they would. Not even if it is a tad soft they still don't get on even when it's the first picture in new colours in the reg.
Not being out of order but when there are alot of 30 year old pictures on here that i know are regarded highly of but have grain grain grain and more grain. But they still get on.

Yes, you are out of order - they get on PRECISELY because they are 30 years old.

On the other hand, there is absolutely no reason to drop the standards for a subject like the UA 777 when (a) it is not in a new colour scheme - a UA 777 in the new colours has already made plenty of appearances on the database, and (b) this very aircraft will be photographed in this colour scheme time and time again over the forthcoming weeks, months and years.

Over the forthcoming weeks ok yes not the day after i expect. Anyways I see what you mean but why drop standards for older aircraft?

Common, you know that! About 95% of the oldies are not flying anymore today therefore getting a photo from them is not possible nowadays!

BTW:
I think the 2nd UA 777 upload will be rejected too because it's

- a bit overexposed ( easy to fix )
- oversharpened titles / reg ( easy to fix )
- not in 1024x6** ( easy to fix )

Try to do better, or send me an email with the original file and I'll tweak it around in .psd for you  Big grin

Florian

To me it looks jaggy on the main 'United' text on the fuselage
