G'day
I am after a clarification on what catagory to select for my flightdeck shots which i upload here.
They are taken through the windows of the flightdeck but show none of the cockpit at all only a wing view.
They are similar to this.
In fact this photo has only been up for a week or so and was uploaded as a cockpit shot.
In the past i have always uploaded them as a cockpit shot as that is where they are taken from and from the upload readme all shots through cockpit windows should be selected as cockpit.
However i have had a photo rejected now 3 times for badcatagory reject with now two messages from screeners stating it should be uploaded as a window view.
Here is the second message "tqg281104dehowie22mod4.jpg cockpit only for actual cockpit views, this would be windowview!".
I thought the readme is pretty clear that cockpit should be selected for shots taken "through" cockpit windows and window view is for cabin shots as stated in the respective readme files.
I was clear in the two later rejections that the shot was taken from the cockpit so there was no misinformation to the team.
I have also sent an email to the screeners but as of yet no response.
So my question is has the definition of a cockpit shot changed so that it must include a viewable part of the cockpit and no longer includes shots through the windows of the flightdeck?
Hopefully someone will get back to me to avoid future problems with the definitions of these type of uploads as it seems the definition of what is meant by cockpit and window have changed.
Thanks
Darren

Your shot above should just be window_view, because no substantial part of the cockpit is visible.
A photo like this would be in both the cockpit and window_view categories because it shows a part of the cockpit, and something outside the aircraft which could be of interest:

Hi Tom
OK no problems.
Will the cockpit readme get changed to reflect that as at the moment the readme for cockpit says also for shots taken through cockpit windows.
I only post as i have about 6 shots similar to this all of which where uploaded under the cockpit catagory and this is the first occasion that i have had a problem with one of my flightdeck shots.
Thanks for the feedback.
