I can't understand these to be truthfully honest! Anyone with any recommendations on these would be a great help. Or if the screener who happened to screen these could possibly point me out in the right direction that would be awesome.

Justin,
Perhaps they're not so keen on the ultra-closeup winglet shots. I think the main problem with the first one might be that the winglet is rather uninteresting, being almost completely red.
As for the second, again, it just doesn't jump out at me. The wing is pretty plain and the clouds are not particularly interesting.
Take my suggestions with a grain of salt; you've got some 551 photos on me in the db .
You know the gear is up and locked when it takes full throttle to taxi to the terminal.

Hi Justin,
I recently had an A320 winglet close up rejected and to be honest I think it's just not the sort of shot they are looking for.
As for the wing... I like the shot but there are a few "jaggies" along a number of the flight control surfaces.
Just my two 2P's worth for what it's worth.

To be honest Justin wing shots have never been my cup of tea. But i have to say yours look pretty much the same as hundreds already downloaded and accepted onto the DB....
Different screener , different day may have resulted in a different result maybe. Bad luck old chap

I think with wing views you need to have an interesting background - a sunset, cloudscape or airport etc. etc. Essentially it is the background that is the main subject of the photo but you need to have a part of the aircraft visible to provide a context and satisfy a.net rules (unless it is an airport overview in which case no part of the aircraft need be visible). The first photo doesn't have anything in the background apart from blue sky so I think this is the reason for the badmotive rejection and I think every screener to a man would have rejected it for this reason (says he who has no experience whatsoever of uploading wing views).

AIRLINERS.NET CREW HEAD SCREENER
I rejected both off these.
For me the DC-10 shot was boring, there was nothing special about it. It's "just another wing."
The winglet shot was a bit too much of a close up, and really not showing anything special. Nothing like as spectacular as your VS 747 wing/winglet shot. Now THAT was a cracking result.

Royal,
Thanks for the reasoning, much appreciated!
I guess I should work with the others I have. Thing is, there weren't many (if any) NW winglet close ups so I thought I'd punt it. Never mind though. I am happy with the decisions, no reason to appeal!
Thanks for the kind words with regards to my VS Winglet, I was impressed with that one too. *Watch this space*
Cheers all,
Justin
Edit: With out turning this into a plug fest, I am happy with what I DID get in just now:
