How does one find A/C details for planes not on the Database. Sydney was visited by 2 Boeing BBJ over the last few days and neither N-number is on the database?

If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

DATABASE EDITOR

Hope this helps:

http://www.landings.com/evird.acgi$pass*70514367!_h-www.landings.com/_landings/pages/search.html

There are also a handy number of specialist books available which list registrations and details for certain countries or classes of aircraft (Bizjets for example). Obviously more expensive than the net and go out of date quickly, but often handy to have around.

Best regards,

Jim

Erm, is this thing on?

Jim,
Thanks for that. I had tried there and N1290S is listed by the FAA as a Cessna 182
http://www.pbase.com/chrisg/image/39704107

And N1560S is listed as BEECH 2000 Starship S/N NC24
http://www.pbase.com/chrisg/image/39704108.

And whilst there are others here that are more expert at this spotting and photography thing than I am, most will agree that the descriptions do not match the photos.

The 2 A/C had been parked at the YSSY Corporate/GA Apron since at least Friday. The Photos were taken at approx 45min apart as they prepared to depart Rwy 16L

Regards

Chris

Chris,

Look at www.airlinerlist.com Download the 737NG ZIP-file. Un-zip it and search the spreadsheet for the registrations you're looking for. If they are not in, it means the aircraft is just delivered or re-registered the last month.

Hope you find it now.

Thanks everyone.... Do I look dumb or what??

I could swear I heard them use "zero" in their call sign though, that is probably the only thing that stopped me searching for "Q". I tried everything else I could think of.

But I humbly stand corrected.

Thanks again to everyone

Chris

Note. They didn't go far, are now standing at Coolangatta(YBCG) on Australia's Gold Coast

Do not worry every one has made the same mistake in the past although many will not admit it!
