This weekend I should be in BRU and was wondering if anyone could post information about spotting/photography. Im not 100% sure that I would have time to spot but I would like to know if it is easy should the time present. We wont have a car so spots that are easy to get to by foot and/or public transportation would be great...

I did a search on it but did not find anything useful...

Thanks in advance,
Matt

From the terminal it is only a small walk down Abelag (Biz/Vip) area. There is a few (lens sized) holes in the fence to put you camera though (usually not everything can photographed as there is this horrible double fence some places.

Other options is the carparks. The tallest one (don't remember the numbers) you can photograph take-offs and aircraft taxiing to take-off from cargo and Abelag. From the other one you can photograph some of what is parked in front of SN Technic and the stands for smaller commuters. Landings can also be seen but not easily photographed.

The approach is also easily accessible but not by foot.

I was there for some hours on Feb. 9, movements are rather slow but with many goodies between, very often some EU-memberstates gvmt aircraft can be seen.

See here for further info.

Hope this helps, Michael

If you walk the above mentioned info is quite correct.
I also suggest you take a look at www.luchtzak.com this site is the best one in Belgium for correct updates on traffic and specials guest at BRU.
Check the spotters database updates.

I would have been happy to show you around the airport, but unfortunately I'll be in Switzerland the next week.

Hope you'll enjoy your stay in BRU.
