OK I've never, NEVER checked the "for sale" box, but oddly enough when I looked into my account, it appears as though 6 of my photos had been checked as being "for sale." I've removed it all now, but wtf is with that???

Holy CRAP! Call the cops! 6 of your photos are for sale!

Perhaps a simple message to Johan or someone of the likes would do the trick.

Yeah well I fixed it but here's the thing (and provided prints were sold, it would also involve money).

I didn't authorize these photos to be for sale, I didn't authorize a.net to make any money off of said photos. If a print were sold, a.net would have made money off of one of my photos, without my authorization.

Before jumping the gun - maybe the box was accidently ticked...?
The box is never already ticked, so it must of been human error somewhere along the line.

I don't see the problem unless you are really averse to airliners.net making some money. Sure, Johan MUST be making money on the site.
But why not ?
The site was a great concept and anyone that follows through a good idea deserves to be rewarded for the (considerable) time they have put into it.
You get some money, the printer gets some and presumably airliners.net gets some....after all this site is not a charity.
If you try to buy a photo there is a warning that such photos are not for commercial use.
If you really don't want people to see or perhaps hold a hard copy of your pictures, the answer seems blindingly obvious !

I don't see a problem with this site making money from our pictures.
At the end of the day its the least we can do to contribute to the success of this site.

DLKAPA,

Clam down, no need to run to the av photography forum and say WTF blah blah blah when something confuses you.

A simple e-mail to admin could have sorted your problem out

Cheers

I have to agree with Ben above. DLKAPA, contact editors at airliners.net and they will sort out your problem.
