I think it's every other day because of the long flight (13hrs) and turnaround time. Don't think it's physically possible for it to be here daily.
Feb. 22, 24, 26, 28
Mar. 2, 4, 6

A bunch of ppl will be out on Saturday Feb. 26th in the morning for her arrival so that is probably the best day. For hotels try the Fairmont, Delta, Radisson and Best Western. All are pretty close to YVR.

Cheers,
Kaz

Bowen,

B-18211 isn't in Boeing's Dynamic Blue colour scheme. Nevertheless, it will also fly to YVR for the promotional flights because it features the new interior same as B-18210. Tomorrow would be a sunny day and very likely the special painting would come in again. I will go to YVR anyway and tell you guys later. For the coming Saturday, though the best day for me and other spotters, the weather seems not as perfect as the past few days.

According to China Airlines officials, these two 747-409s with new interior will fly to SFO from March 7th for two weeks. After the all promotional flights, they would be used mainly on TPE-LAX flights because "it is easier for us to dispatch".

John

I know some local spotters went to the airport to catch the special Boeing c/s on Feb 23 and 24. But CAL sent regular painting to YVR for straight two days. Strangely, both aircraft (B-18207 yesterday and B-18201 this morning) feature old interior. I need to phone CAL's officials to ask what's wrong with their promotional flight into YVR  Confused

yes, you're right...
CI just sent a normal paint scheme to YVR today (24 Feb). That's really weird. If B-18211 is now at Schiphol, it seems that it doesn't have chance to come on Friday also.

Cheers,
Bowen

Have fun snapping photos of her folks, as I will be awaiting to see uploads within the coming week. If weather remains as good as it's been, damm it's gona be nice.

I spoke to Rob earlier today and so far it seems like he can't get enough of nailing her..
As if those 12 rolls were enough. Smile

I know guys like Rich, Alan, Frank and Kaz(if he's still there) must be very excited just like the time when Cathay's HOY (World City) flew in and I had the chance to share that moment few years back.
Of course other awesome YVR photographers like the ones I have most recently seen by some of you guys on this board will also be trembling with anticipation..

Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised if a few Seattle guys like Jetcity, Royal, & Bill decide to take in on the action as well despite already getting it in PAE.

As for me, I too am very excited and cannot wait to be out at YYC on Monday to Catch LTU for the first time in my entire life. It will be equal to a milestone in my spotting life.
Unfortunetly, more charters are as good as things can painfully get in cowtown..  Sad

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Today (FEB25) B-18210 came into Vancouver again. It won't come in tomorrow on Saturday. I know it's going to disappoint many of you who already made a plan to YVR on Sat morning. Just let you know so that you don't need to waste your morning for a regular painting.

Ok guys I know the weather is switching to a typical early Spring light rain shower in Vancouver but in case some of you still want to go to spot it, here's her flight pattern.

The plane would fly 032-031-106-107-032-031-106-107 before March 6 (then turn her new destination to SFO). It was reported as operating CI032 to YVR on March 1st so that it is at YVR now. Please refer to China Airlines website for the schedule time of the flights mentioned above. Good luck!
