There are 2 locations at FLL to spot from. One would be the FLL 9L viewing area off perimeter road. The other is the Hibiscus Garage. Both should be OK for spotting all day. The BSO deputies and the Broward County guys all seem to be understanding with spotters.

Another thing to consider is that if you drive to the parking garage and spot there, you have to pay for the time you are there because you are parking there, so keep that in mind...

Question: I heard once that there is a designated area on the parking-garage to watch from... Is that true?

Oh, come on, HS-LTA. Just take the 25-minute drive southward to MIA and you'll see a whole lot more!! Big grin

That it is... There are actually big signs saying "Aircraft Viewing Area" on the top of Level 7 on the Hibiscus Garage on the far west side of it on Level 7. They have a few benches up there to sit on, also...

If you're driving to the top of the garage, make sure you use the Long Term entrance, not Short Term. But Long Term is $12/day.

It's also good when they switch runways, as most airborne planes are not much higher than you are!
