This is the best I could do. Too bad that the original is too dark, but this looks a lot better IMO.

Thanks a bunch Wietse.
You are right i will not get perfect.
My outing with the S11 came as a surprise and i was unprepared leaving the camera in partial metering mode which is my preferred way to work but some how it did not work in the snow.
Also i forgot to over expose a stop or so, a shame really.
Anyway we will see what happens next.

Strictly speaking as a fellow photographer, what is the strong desire to have this photo online? To me it really isn't showing much...the snow cover wipes out most of the details, the shot is dark, and the wing is in a terrible place for the composition of the shot.

Is it a rare shot? A once in a lifetime event or something?

It's not so much my desire to get it in the database but more to get it fixed.
Although the images are dear to me.

Snow in this quantities is rare in my country.
A 747 with 2 wings separated from the fuselage is rare.
An overview of the Dutch Aviation Theme Park is rare.
So i guess the answer is yes.

Flying with a historical Fokker S11 was for me a lifetime event yes.
Something i explained already in another thread so i won't do again.

I know i messed up completely which i why i asked for some help.

If you send me the original unedited file, I will have a go at processing.
If it's a RAW file, that's not a problem.

Regards

Gary
