After reading so much comments about shooting in apeture mode at f8 i decided to give it a go .
After coming home i viewed the pictures and to my suprise they where not very good the lighting was good but the problem was that all the cheatlines where wobbly and the aircraft edges where wobbly nothing was straight i had a really good shot of a cessna in Australia for the first time but the shot was all wobbly.
Please if someone can assist me in finding what the problem is i would appreciate it.
Im now shooting with a 20d .

Has nothing to do with any camera setting. I cannot see the pictures, but what you are describing sounds purely like heathaze to me.

Thank you for the quick response but it was a nice day not too much heat at all and not a lot of aircraft traffic around the problem is that even a parked aircraft had the same results .
When i shoot in shutter priority mode i don't have this problem.
Thanks for your assistance anyway

parked or not, that does not affect the presence of heatwaves. Heatwaves can occur even on cold days when the sun is out. Heatwaves can occur on all kinds of days, it does not have to be hot for them to mess up pictures. I can now see the pic, and it is definately heathaze.

What editing program are you using to resize your images?

It looks similar to a problem I sometimes encounter with Elements.

Tim.

Obviously missing something....
