I found this on the SNA site:

Filming

John Wayne Airport welcomes film, television and photography projects.

Permit fees are $400 per day for motion picture and video productions.

Permit fees are $150 per day for still photography.

Permit fees are waived for non-profit projects, with proof of non-profit status.

Security deposits, insurance and some costs for staff time are also required.

If i take my camera and shoot from the terminal, do i need this permit and will I be hassled if I don't have it?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

They sure do, but ask that you send the $150 payment by cash directly to me in the NY office  Smile

The few times I've shot at SNA, no one ever gave me problems.

Michael

Don't worry about it unless you plan on showing up as a full movie crew with trucks, serious lighting, and a prop crew. I live about five-miles from SNA and have been shooting there for decades. If you look innocent, they will leave you alone...

Don't get married, don't have kids, and you will have more money than you know what to do with...
