Hi out there.

I'm just weeks away from getting my 20D and as I'm selling my current camera (300D) I'd like to know if I shall give away a spare battery pack that I bought just a couple of months away or shall I keep it.

Would the 20D operate the same battery than the 300D?

Thanks all.

I just checked the Canon website and you can keep your battery as the 20D uses the same ones as the 300D. Kevin

Are you asking about the actual battery or the extra grip? If I recall correctly the batt's are the same and the stick that shoots into the slot might be the same but that the 20D is a bit smaller and the tripod mount might not attach correctly.

I'll look into it and get back to you,

Matt

Indeed the grips are different but the batteries identical although the new ones might have a bit more capacity, 1500mAH i believe which is not a problem btw.
I would keep it Juan, an extra battery is always handy.

Hi all

Hey, I've still got my D30 and using the batteries from that too with my 20D.

Agree that the new batteries have more power etc.

Regards

Gary
