I'm going to be flying JFK-SNN-LHR on Monday/Tuesday, then back again on Friday LHR-DUB-JFK on Aer Lingus. I'll have ~3 hour layovers in DUB and SNN and would like to use the time for some in-terminal photography (leaving the terminal would be out of the question, I'm sure). Do either of these airports have any decent photo locations within the secured area? And am I likely to get any security hassles for taking pictures inside the airport?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can lend in this question!!

If you do, make sure you have it on Video, as I have never heard of that happening in DUB.
I certainly haven't had any trouble. DUB and SNN are ok for through the window photography nice big windows around the BTR. Only problem is that the windows are quite heavily tinted so you may not get the best photos.

'Area C' at DUB where your LHR flight will dock is quite good for photography. Aircraft taxi past at 90 degrees to the window, which helps a little. Also it's not as crowded at this end of the terminal.

Obviously missing something....

At SNN there are opportunities from the gates and, if you have the time, there is an observation point, normally open, access is gained via stairs or elevator from the arrivals/departures concourse.

BTW, if one of your flights is on EI110/EI111, this flight has been operated by a variety of aircraft for the last 2 weeks. Current performers are either an ATA 757-200 or 757-300.

Zoinks! I am on EI 110 tomorrow. I'd be most displeased to have my scheduled A330 displaced by an ATA 757. We'll see what pans out.

Thanks, all three of you, for the info. Wish me luck on my photo tries at SNN!!
