I am looking into a new CRT monitor for edting airplane pics and am having difficulty selecting one. Someone suggested the following monitor would be good:

Samsung SyncMaster 19" CRT Monitor - model 997df

This monitor has .20mm dot pitch.

Does anyone have experience with this monitor? I'm open to other suggestions as well. Thanks.

Josh

Hey Josh,

It was great meeting you the other night!  wave

I am in the market for a new monitor as well. That one looks good and it is very inexpensive. Let me know how it goes if you get it. I was expecting to pay at least twice that for a good monitor,

Nick,

It was nice to finally meet you, too.

Part of my problem is that I don't really understand what qualities I should be looking for in a good monitor. I'm certainly open to hearing from you and others as to the types of attributes a good monitor should have.

Josh

I just got the new issue of PC MAg. There are some monitors in there that look interesting. I am going to look into them and let you know.

There are a couple of cheap monitors from Sceptre and another brand I usually wouldn't buy. I am going to call my friend who works in computers and see which ones he has in his office. I was there once and they looked good. I was checking out Dell and they have some good ones as well. Will let you know.
