Spotting - Doncaster Sheffield

Hi,

I may take a trip to Doncaster Sheffield Airport either this week or next, so I was wondering if any of the community here know of the places to go for the Photos? It would be champion if someone could tell me some locations, and directions to get there from a main road (M1 for example)  Smile.

I would not mind going to DSA, as it would give some variation over Nottingham East Midlands Airport, and I would like to see if its any better than the Photo opportunity's at EMA.

Thanks everyone for your help, and I look forward to hearing some locations.

Also, are the smaller Airports like Nottingham and Sheffield worth a visit?

Cheers, Ryan  Smile

Ryan,

I am sure Tim Goodwin (DC10Tim) would be pleased to help you. He's a good guy and I know that he has spent a bit of time sussing out the photography opportunities at Doncaster.

Drop him an email through his profile.

All the best.

Paul

Hi Ryan,

There are several quite good spots for photography at DSA.

Feel free to contact me if you wish.

Regards,

Tim.

This is a place I really want to see. I had my first flight in a light aircraft there in 1990, in a Chipmunk whilst in Cadets, and went to Finningley '89 the year before.

In 1996 I flew overhead a very forlorn and quiet looking Finningley in one of Sherburn's C150's. Would be a buzz to see it in use again, and not some parking lot.
