Nice picture indeed. Are you sure it would be rejected? Think that this is a very rare photo, with new c/s and with two Belugas together...
Heat haze should be considered as a minor problem but I have to say I'm not screener..

i´m still not sure about the quality, because i have to get used to my new display...
Anyway, i even asked for priority screening.
No reply so far.
Guess that probably means that it doesn´t have good chances.
