Hello all,

A few months back when I was new to this forum I requested help with SFO etc. Well with access through a family member I was able to ride around the ramps of United for the day. I took this shot with my 18-55.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/ua777222/Upload.jpg

I was wondering, if any, what categories it would be taken down for. Now the space lower than the nose is a huge bar that blocked the edge of the ramp I was standing on.

Thanks for any input!

Matt

Catagory: MyAvitaion

Its a cool shot, but I doubt it will be accepted by the screeners.. they are very strict on these kinds of shots and there just isnt enough plane in this picture I think..

Hope you got some cool shots from the SFO ramp!

It's really almost a normal nose shot, but I think it would get badmotiv because several bits are blocked or cut off. It might also get badcolor, unless there are allowances made for hangar lighting.

I can't see Badcolor seeing as that's the color of the hanger. Now curves was applied but it didn't make it too much brighter nor did it distort the color.

Thanks,

Matt

read the manual for your camera, the section you are looking for is "White Balance"

Could also be a BADINFO for spelling "hangar" as "hanger".

This is just me digging through all of my old shots from 6months ago. I woulnd't know what to do then. I have a much better grasp on the basics. So basically it would be don't waste the time sitting in the queue?

Thanks,

Matt

There are two ways to White Balance a shot.

True Colors:

And Present Colors:

I believe this is a situation where present colors were used.
