Hi guys,
following picture was rejected. I like it and spend a lot of time re-scanning it and so on every time it was rejected. It is one of my favorite. Thats why I´m trying to get it accepted for months and every time the same reason for rejection: "low quality". Now I don´t know what to do anymore and thats why I´d like to hear your suggestions. A few months ago you guys told me to save my pics with no compression and everything should be okay. Now I save them with almost no compression but it gets rejected due to low quality. Please take a look and tell me what to improve? To get the same standard text saying low quality is no help anymore.

I would stop uploading it when you guys would tell me that you are not interested in seeing a picture showing only the first part of the aircraft. But as long as it is of "low quality" and as long as I think that it is an interesting shot and maybe there are a lot of people who would like to see it I will try to improve it.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Ivica

Ivica,
I've had a little play with the image and emailed you the resulting pic. I think I've improved it a bit, but I don't know if enough to get it accepted. Night shots are notoriously difficult to get!

Hi,
Chris: thanks for your help. I think it looks better now...
Gary: I checked it out and there is no problem with the link. Please try it again. Thanks!
btw: Chris sharpened, brightened it a bit and
increased the contrast and it looks a little bit better now. I will post a link to the new pic when I come back home and you guys can see if it is good enough to be accepted now.

ivica, the photo is great. What kind of explanation are u getting in the rejection notice?
I have a feeling it is because some of the aircraft is not showing. The quality of the photo itself is pretty damn good if you ask me, but I feel that you have either missed too much of the aircraft or should maybe have zoomed in and focused on a more specific area like the nose section just forward of the wing root.
Just my thoughts.

Hi again,
Qantas737: thanks for your comments. Reason for rejetion was low quality. Thats why I don´t know what to do anymore because I really think that it is a nice picture. Anyway, I brightened it and increased the contrast. Here it is: http://www.geocities.com/aviationivi747/lh744night2.jpg
better now?
I hope that you guys understand why I´m asking for your help. To get the standard text saying "low quality..." is not really a help. I need some advise saying that I need to brighten/sharpen/... it. When I know what to improve I´m going to try it again.
So, let me know if it is good enough now?
Thanks for your help!
Ivica

Yeah the "Low Quality" explanation is rather plain and doesnt explain much. Let's hope that Johan may get some extra time on his hands when this prescreening process is all settled in and he may then have time to give the photographers a better explanation.
