Ok I have looked in the queue on Jet Photos and I saw a photo of the first Bmi A330 arriving in Heathrow. It was extreme ealry hours of morning but check it out. I just thought I would say that it was been there and well I don't know how often it operates but it is up for grabs.

It goes to Mumbai four days a week, and usually just seems to fester outside their hangar the other three days.

Thats my shot **dances**

I'll upload it here in a day or so, but it might take a while to be screened... LoL! (Mods: please take that as light humor!)

Jid's right, fellas - watch out for badcommon rejections, even though you are in London, as it features heavily in the database.

Take it easy.

I noticed a week ago...today in fact at LHR. I caught sight of it at around 8.30am leaving the gate area to take off...I text JKW to see if he could enlighten me...and he did.
Unfortunately I was taking the 27L arrivals and didnt have enough time to go round to 27R to see it takeoff.

The route has been going for over a month now, suprised this is the first shot anywhere for it....i mean, come on its on the ground for 3 days in the week, surely somebody has got it been moved around, its not like BD's hangar is well out of the way for photographers Big grin.

Jason,

It is normally parked behind the SAA 74's so very hard to get a shot while parked up, I got a shot of it's tail when I saw it as it was all I could get really

Cheers

I wouldn't have thought it contitutes a priority screening case - they have been photo'd to death at MAN. airlines start new routes all the time, and they don't get priority.

Go ahead, prove me wrong  Silly

That is true, but its also a first for BMI to fly long haul from LHR. It was quite a public case and as this thread proves, people are looking for photographs of the new bmi service... :P

BMI A330s have been at LHR just before they started the long haul out of MAN remember, so it's certainly no "special" occasion  Wink
