I have been asked for use of this photo in an internal newsletter at Qantas distributed to all 744 pilots. It is a not for profit newsletter. I'm not thinking of charging him for it, but I would like a copy of the newsletter mailed out. Should I ask for something more?
I think the newsletter would be enough.

Lol@poxy newsletter.
So whats appropriate for a not for profit newsletter handed out to 744 flight crew. If it was being sold, I'd have no problem in asking for money.

If no money then get a tour of the 747 maybe a few cabin shots or the next time you travel on the 747 ask if you can get into the jump seat and get a few shots of the rotation and landing etc etc. A tour of the hangers maybe, some close up shots! Come on Goran you're the inteligent one here, use your imagination.

1) Get paid an amount your happy with.....
2) If you cannot get paid ask for something which is of value to that of the photo. Ie a tour or clothing etc etc....
3) If they wont give you either 1 or 2 tell them that your not a free service... Maybe ask if Qantas ever give away free seats for people that just ask for them !!!
