Hi. I have just ordered the Canon EF 28-90 mm 4.0-5.6 DC II lens, and I now have a terrible doubt. I have a Canon 10D. Will this lens will be compatible, as it is an EF lens? The 10D is EF compatible am I right? This lens was designed for a non-digital reflex camera (EOS 3000v).

Thanks for your help! Cheers

It will be fine. All EF lens are compatible with all Canon AF cameras (digital and film). It's just the EF-S lenses that have compatibility issues with certain models.

No problem. I don't think the 10D is compatible with the EF-S lenses, so watch out there, but there are only 4 EF-S lenses available at the moment. They are designed for the 20D and Rebel/Rebel XT.

Happy shooting.

Sean

Sean,

You are absolutely right about EF-S lenses on the 10D - they do not fit. All conventional EF lenses are indeed fine though.

Yes I know about that, thanks anyway! I think they are made also for the 300D and 350D?

Cheers, Philippe

The 300D and 350D are the Rebel and Rebel XT. The US market gets the Rebel brand
