First of all I have emailed the screeners. Also, what categories does this go under? I also have a cockpit shot of SS1.  Smile Hope they get in soon, it was a GREAT DAY!

Danny, where did you find SS1? I understand that its only public display/demo is going to be at EAA after which it is due to be donated to a museum. Why would such a rare plane as this in a rare appearance, possibly the last time anyone will see it fly, not be considered newsworthy enough for priority?

Before heading to Oshkosh SS1 made a stop here in TUL and overnighted. It departed at around 1pm this afternoon. All I can say is that I am so happy that I had the chance to see it fly and stand right next to it. I even stuck my head in the cockpit and it was amazing. Lots of great pics which danny, Jim & I took. Now the dreaded wait for screening.

Hi Bruce,

It was not "officially" open to the public. The newspaper ran a story about it and a lot of people showed up. Just a handful got on the ramp. Lots more than they had wanted. We know the manager of the FBO where they stopped. They wanted a shot or two of the aircraft in front of their hangar so we worked out a photo for ramp access trade.  Smile I have a shot in the queue of it taxiing in from atop the hangar. It was a HOT one up there! 102F on the ground....you figure out what it would be on a metal hangar roof! LOL It was a fun 2 days!

The exterior shots of WhiteKnight/SS1 will have to wait. The cockpit shot got priority consideration since there were no shots of it. I wish I would have had more time to set up for the shot. There were other people waiting and I had to stick my head inside the porthole and get the shot. I would image it will be several more days before Ralph's and my exterior shots to show up.
