Hi all,
I read some messages about difficult spotting at CDG.
Well, I was there last WE. There is no chance to spot at the fences. The MP is patroling all the time and they will ask you very friendly to stay away from the fences, but they will only ask once. I asked if we could take pictures on the other side of the road. That's about 50-100m from the fence and the MP said that was fine.

So I ended up with great pictures taken on my 100-400 mm lens. But I miss the close ups from the taxi-ways.

Why didn't you go to the mounds between terminal 9 and the train station? AFAIK there's no fences there to obstruct shooting. How come the MP were patrolling?

Left CDG last Sun but while taking the shuttle to our hotel I saw 4-5 people on the mound for a good hour. Should be good for you!

Take care,

Matt

We did not try to spot "inside" the area after our chat with the MP. (After some heated discussions with MP's in Italy and after a friend got arrested and questioned for hours in Russia, I am no longer so keen on MP company)
But There were a number of MP vehiclues patroling the fence all the time. Maybe there was just increased alert. We experienced also increased police controls at some peage stations on the motorways while driving to Paris.
