crashed this morning on approach to KAPA killing the pilot. I was contacted by Channel 7 (the DenverChannel.com) about using it on their website and on their news broadcasts. The contact person mentioned they had seen the photo displayed numerous times "while flipping around". I had not authorized any usage of it prior to his request (which I granted) and would like to know if any of you in Denver or anywhere else had seen the photo on t.v. and on what channel, time, etc it was on. I'd like to contact the offending stations.

I saw the same photo on channel 7's website around 8:00 this morning and there was no photo credit given. Now I noticed there is one.

Well Eric, I did get back out to the Jet Preview...not really much to shoot, though I did get a shot or two....
I had to 'help' the blur out a little as it was not even for some reason, and while I doubt I will upload this, and I still have some touch up to do...what's your impression?

Jeff what equipment you got and what is the EXIF info if you don't mind me asking? That shot is stunning, I'm assuming a fair amount of photoshop work was used.

Jason,
Thanks, glad you liked it. Not too much photoshop on either one actually, as I really don't like changing a picture too much. Levels and curves were adjusted, contrast up 2, and a fade of a Low Pass Digital Velvia, and some smoothing on the background of the Pilatus, and of course some USM. Those were taken with a 10d and the 100-400LIS. The exif for the Pilatus:

The car is one sick shot. I managed a few, but as it was raining while I was there, keeping the water droplets off the lens filter long enough to get decent shots was kind of a pain. Still had some interesting results:

This trip out there it was all about the cars for me. Sucked big time with the rain. And could they have put them any closer to all that crap in the hangar? Jeeesh!

Quoting BigPhilNYC (Reply 11): Maybe those of us who have Tivo or a ready VCR should hit record the second we see aviation news like that. Good way to look out for one another.
I've got Tivo and keep a look out. My mom saw Jeff's photo and was like, I saw that one on the news today, and she Tivo'd it, and she was wrong, it was not the photo.
