Hi everyone,

I got this one rejected a couple of weeks back for badsoft. I re-edited it and I was wondering what you thought.

Hi Sebastian,

The image looks over-sharpened. Look at the reg on the back, you see its not clear as its been oversharpened. If you want to me to have alook at it, please feel free to message me and ill drop you my e.mail address and ill be pleased to have a bash at it.

Cheers,

Lew

Your totally right, all the written stuff on it does look like that. The thing is the original was pretty soft for some reason so I tried to compensate with USM but that was too much. Thanks for pointing it out.

Cheers,
Sebastian

You sure you opened up the picture properly Lew? Sharpening looks spot-on to me.

Sebastian,

The grass looks abit bizarre to me. Did you use any form of noise reduction on this shot by any chance?

Zacko a handy thing to do to reduce jaggies is.......

So you have done levels. The have the crop tool selected > Right click on the image > Select Duplicate Layer and press "ok" on the box that comes up > Then do your USM, maybe even over sharpen > Then select the eraser tool and rub over the areas which show jaggies > If it then rubs them out to much, go to "Image" drop down menu I think it is and select "Fade Eraser". Move the slider as you want so that the titles dont have jaggies and press ok. BINGO. Bye bye to jaggies.

Hope this helps  hyper

Yeah, it looks a tad oversharpened, but that white building behind the white plane don't really help anything at all. I think the combination of the plane and background mixing tegether may kill this pic.

Hi Sebastian,

your shot looks quite good to me, perhaps just a bit oversharpened. It depends on what kind of screen you're looking at it. On my CRT it definitely looks ok.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. I will just rework it from scratch today, and make sure to reduce the jaggies where they show up.

Cheers,
Sebastian
