Hi all,
This plane flew East to West over SYD at approx 13:55 local time on the 8th August. Does anyone have any ideas of it's ID?

(will only include a link to save bandwidth for anyone that doesn't wish to see it)

Appreciate any assistance

Chris

747 by the looks of it.

Hey Chris is that EasyJet really in the water with both engines running? What happened there!

Thanks Fergul

Actually I think compared to the SQ 747 that passed by a little later it is an A340(could be wrong!) but don't know whose who it is.

The EasyJet 737 is a fairly well known fake and to demonstrate that, I created this http://www.pbase.com/chrisg/image/41205347 in only a couple of minutes using a PS filter called Flood from Flaming Pear, actually took longer to crop than create the effect.

Note: Before anyone jumps on and accuses me of plagarism.. This non public PBase gallery is used to make pictures available for illustrative reasons and has a disclaimer that it is not all my work.

Regards

Chris

Thanks Chris

Nearly fooled me, by the way do you use Photoshop CS?

I too thought it might be an A340 when I looked at the engines.

Take care

It's a 340 for sure, dunno what airline though. I can't really see the tail logo that clear.

ChrisH,

I think I can accept that, at first glance I thought the tail was too dark .. blue even.. to be Cathay but the time would make it CX108 AKL-HKG.

Thank you

Chris

Gabriel,

It certainly was .. even better as it got towards the West when it's shadow on the high cloud added to the impact. The SQ286 later on was pretty impressive as well!
