Hi
Just aquired a Sigma 28-300mm Aspherical IF lens for use with my 300D. I need help with the autofocus as from about 200-300mm the camera will not autofocus on anything, which is no good when shooting planes. Just wondered if anyone had experienced any problems like this?

Hi Simon,
I own the sigma 28-300 and have had no problems with it.. When you say it doesnt focus? Do you get a flashing green dot in your camera's viewfinder? If so, its not the lens its your camera, it means it wont allow you to shoot, or the subject is too close for it to focus e.t.c.

Yes, I get a flashing green dot, the camera wont let me shoot. I have tried zooming up close on an object close to me, then I have tried with an object which is a long way from me. From 28 to about 200mm is fine.
