Hi again..
I just wanted to show you all some of the photos this photographer is able to do and as I said in other threads one of the famous underrated photographers.
In my case, since long time a go,he's in my RR list and if I could I'd respect him twice!

Enrique you beat me to it.
Great job Javier. I think I need to step it up a bit.
I'm not paying much attention to others RR's but I'm checking Javier's from time to time and waiting the sudden increase that never comes..In other words I'm 10 ( sometimes 12... amazing ) and Javier is 4 and 4 and 4...
Of course he has ALL the respect from everybody here.
Just to clear it up...

RR doesnt say anything about capability of taking photos. it just shows how many people you know or , if you are liked or not.
kudos also to javier from me, had allready some discussions with him via instant msg , he seems to be a nice guy.
Robin
ps: very happy for javier that the BIG at Gatwick shot got accepted, as i remember the whole process with appeal and finally it got in the DB.

Many of his photos are somewhat playful, in the very best meaning of the word. I like these "motionblurred" pics, and he makes the "lucky shot" far too often to put it all on luck alone.
The Pullmantur 747 is a real masterpiece. I don't know how often I opened a.net today just to take another look at it - needless to say it's also my wallpaper now, actually his second "moon shot" that made it there...

I too would like to add a bit here to a good photographer, I think his panning shots are his signature. I have quite a few of Javier's shots in one of my photo albums in my profile. This is one of my favorites. Well done!

Quoting Granite (Reply 12): Underrated?..........how do you come to this conclusion?
Not enough 'Pat on the back' threads?
I think Enrique actually meant overrated, you know we Spaniards are not very good when it comes to speaking tongues...
Thanks a lot, Enrique!! As others have explained, RR has little or nothing to do with respect as a photographer. It is intended in fact as a way to show that you agree with or appreciate the opinions somebody states in the forums. As I do not use the feature and my posts are not that popular, I do not get a lot of "respect" back, no big deal really. I am more than happy with people liking some of my modest attempts at photography, I do not need much more
Some two years ago when I started to upload systematically and was lucky enough to get Top of the last 24 hours with my fourth try, I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams I would get so many views and so many congratulations e-mails, meet so many nice people (both by e-mail and in person), and actually had such a lot of fun trying to get a decent picture with an airplane in the midst of it spoiling it all!! You all know about it, it is definitely worth it!!
Chad, Tim, Robin, Denis, Gkirk, Justin, ZakHH, Fergul: Thanks a lot, I wish we can meet in person soon!!
Zak and Thomas: Actually it was MY PLEASURE meeting you guys, I hope we have the chance to see us again.
There are plenty a lot of other guys who have helped me along the way, I think they know who they are, thanks!!
And finally thanks to ALL A.net photogs for their inspiration, keep them coming!!

Hi Gary.. just wanted to reply and justify why I said this... Thank you Javier for helping me with my poor english. Believe me if I tell you how difficult can be to write and understand what I'm saying!! I couldn't resist to start this topic, It was a public gratitude for his impressive work.
Of course I had to give a name to the topic and I had in my mind the odd RR Javier has. I don't mind either about this but it was a manner to express my doubts. I don't know how RR is calculated, I don't care too but RR is 'respect rating' and Javier's item is not fare..
If I could choose I'd made this feature optional....................
And to finish this I don't think I'm too wrong, he's 'underrated' (in the forum) but very respected and admired and a top photographer in this site.
Regards
Enrique
PD: Took me half an hour to write this three lines

Just in case, I want to add my own note of congratulation. I echo the points made above - Javier takes some really excellent photos and his panning shots are some of the best around in my opinion.

Javi
I can only add my appreciation of your photos. I have to say one day you are going to have to show me some of the spots in Madrid other than the ones I know about, but I have a feeling that I don't have the ability to access these areas. Your work is an inspiration. Also, I have enjoyed looking through your non aviation shots on the website you have. Most good!
Maybe one of these days I'll run into you in Madrid, which is a little more difficult these days as I no longer live there, at the moment.
Keep it up. By the way, I enjoyed my business plus experience to Bogota this month. Shame it was HQF on the way back with the old cabin.
