Hey guys, on 15th November myself and MYT332 will be arriving in SYD for a 2 night stay, it has recently been announced that the A380 shall be arriving in SYD on the 16th of November, is anyone interested in getting together and witnessing this arrival firing off a few pics then go for a beer afterwards??

Hi,

Because of some strange coincidence, I myself will be in the SYD area as well during those days. I arrive on Saturday November 12th evening, but unfortunately I head for AYQ on the morning of September 16th.

So, depending on the arrival time of the A380 I might get to see her again (after LBG) in SYD, but I won't have any real photo opportunities.

However, I'm very interested in spending a day around SYD on November 13th, 14th or 15th.

Greets,
Ivan

I'll be wherever the A380 goes. There's still uncertainty over whether it will actually visit Sydney or go to Brisbane instead. I've also heard both the 14th and the 16th for the date. I'm waiting on a confirmed announcement from Airbus or Qantas before making plans, but if it does come to SYD it would be nice to meet up. I'm sure just about every local spotter will be there!

Long live the A330!

Well, if it visits SYD on the 14th, count me in, as long as anybody wants to pick me up in downtown Sydney or a public transport station at the airport  Wink I won't take my 100-400mm all the way to Sydney though, so it will just be the 75-300mm  Sad

If I can get some cheap fares from Tassie I'll be up there too!

You local guys will have to show me the good spots. I've never spotted in SYD before! Thats if there's room for another?

Also if there is any news of date changes could they let me know?? or make a post or something?? I really want to be at the location when it comes to Australia whether it be Sydney or somewhere else.

Thanks

Martin

There's been word it will be in Brisbane on November 16, but other people are saying 14th...so it's anyone's guess at the moment. Luckily I'm near Brisbane so will make the journey down there when/if it does come, I won't be in SYD until a week later though.

Typical, the time we plan to go to SYD the bloody plane is in Brisbane, might move the SYD trip to another day, any BNE spotters/photographers wanting to show 2 poms around for a day?

Welcome back!! I might even fly up regarless of the A380 being there or not!

I've wanted to come up there for a weekend for a while now. I may need to share a ladder though! not lugging one of them up there!

A380 is confirmed for Brisbane on 14th november in conjunction with Qantas' 85th birthday and leave on the same day, also rumoured to be in attendance is JT's 707.

Is it staying there for a few days or moving on to another location?

Can anybody provide more info if it leaves for SYD or so? Basically, the main purpose of my trip to Australia is enjoying the sceneries and getting to know the country better, but if there's a show going on at SYD when I'm there, I just might as well attend it, right?  Wink

Don't really care about the 380, I've got that one already...  biggrin
