The thing is, the email said that they had already used it and they just wanted to know if that was ok and if I could either give them the "ok for go" or the "not ok to go". Has this ever happend to anyone else here??
I thought that it was a bit pushy for someone to do this, to use the photo and get it all setup, and then to ask if its ok to use!

Had a look at it they didn't use much .
The ball is in your court regarding what you do but if it was me i would ask them to ask first before they use any of your work.
If they think they can get away with doing this with you they will certainly try with others.

Quoting Eadster (Thread starter): What do we think its the best move? Say "yeah go for it" or "no way man, pay me some cash!"?
Is it a flight sim site? Good luck with that..I doubt they will pay you. I would ask for compensation, and remind them that they have already violated your copyright. I would bet from the crop of your image that they took, you would never have found out they were using your picture. Not endorsing their usage, but at least he asked.
